Our experience in Bangladesh with the GenOMICC study has been highly impactful, both scientifically and collaboratively. It has provided our team with a unique opportunity to contribute to global research on the genetic basis of critical illness, fostering valuable international partnerships and capacity building in genomic science. For our local community, participation in GenOMICC has enhanced awareness of the importance of biomedical research and strengthened our institutional capacity for future genomic and proteomics research. Overall, it has significantly advanced our research capabilities and inspired a stronger commitment to addressing global health challenges through genomics.
Through this collaboration, we aim to contribute valuable genomic data that can help identify key genetic variants associated with critical illness. The project has also strengthened our research capacity in genomics, bioethics, sample transfer and international collaboration. With this experience, we hope to perform much better in future.
