For every intensive care patient we recruit, we need to find someone similar from the general population. We need people from across the UK, in every ethnic group.
We are not currently recruiting healthy control volunteers, but you can register your interest in taking part here. If you decide to register your interest, you must:
be over age 18 and live in the UK
have no history of critical illness
If you decide to register your interest, the only people in the University of Edinburgh who will have access to the information that identifies you will be the people who need to contact you about the study, or to audit the data collection process.
