Amendment summary

We have created some visual assets (as described below), for distribution to potential GenOMICC study participants. These will be displayed and distributed in NHS research locations and on our website.

GenOMICC recruitment poster

A simple recruitment poster to advertise the study in patient / family waiting areas of critical care units, and other appropriate spaces. The poster can be personalised with local research team contact details if desired, and wording adapted depending on the situation, to suit patient or relative facing contexts.

The GenOMICC study team can localise, laminate and send copies to all research areas. Please get in touch to let us know your localisation requirements.

Preterm baby specific recruitment poster

A preterm baby specific recruitment poster to advertise the study to families in neonatal units, and other appropriate spaces. The poster can be personalised with local research team contact details if desired.

The GenOMICC study team can localise, laminate and send copies to all research areas. Please get in touch to let us know your localisation requirements.

Preterm baby video explainer

We have developed a short introductory video explainer to introduce the GenOMICC study to parents and families of preterm babies who may be interested in and/or invited to take part in the Study.

This is not intended to replace the consent process but rather support introductory conversations and provide an accessible and simple means of understanding the aims of our research.

The video will be hosted on YouTube, and the subtitles will be translated into various languages using Google Translate.

Preterm baby video explainer QR codes

The video QR codes will be printed onto small ID / bank card sized cards that can be given to parents and families or attached to the information sheet.

The GenOMICC study team will send these cards to all neonatal areas automatically.

Preterm baby specific recruitment certificate

A recruitment certificate has been created for parents / carers of babies as a token of appreciation and to acknowledge their participation in the study. This may also act as a future reminder of their participation. Distribution of this certificate is intended to be an optional resource and not intended as a mandatory part of the recruitment process.

Let the GenOMICC study team know if you would like some certificates sent to your area. It is intended that the name of any baby recruited can be handwritten onto the certificate locally.
